id told her that i had feelings for her.she had been confused about me too..she said that it would be better if we stayed friends.i had to accept it because i didnt want to lose her

SO we did not start going out.

3 days later..she calls me at 2 am and confronts me with a few lies id previously told her about my ex'.i had told most of the truth but then i messed up a few facts(first told her id did have sex with this girl, and then denied it).this is important to her.

so i had to confess that i did lie.id only lied because id thought shed look down upon me.

she said that what hurts is the fact that i lied.
and i agree that it is understandable.i broke her trust.and i think that maybe she was still considering going out with me and thats why shed called.

now i dont know what to do...i accept what ive done..ive let her down.

but i need to apologise.i truly love her and want her in my life..if shes not ill die of guilt

If it is important to her to know that you did or didnt...this was an 'ex' of yours in the past and not a part of your future unless your 'friend' wants it to be an everlasting issue. In the beginning of meeting someone, you just dont know what to reveal when such a personal questions is asked. Example, did she really need to know that at the time of her asking?
Would she have not had you as a friend if you didnt say yes, then deny? It's very strange...most everyone that is an adult nowadays has had some sexual history...shall we deny our own sexuality and walk around guilty forever for this because of one person who it comes to bother?
If you apologize to her sincerely again for again saying that you had sexual relations with your ex...then denying it, then she asks again or you decide it's important to tell her....It is 'her' problem and it would be just a shame if that is the one thing that she is basing your relationship upon. Just a shame. And you probably are giving her too much status.
Dont die from guilt from this one girl....die if you allow this one girl's problem to cause you to stay in the past!!! Move into the future, k?
Take care. Peace and love.

I think the only thing you can do is ask for her forgiveness and try to explain why you lied without sounding too self-centered. My b/f lied to me a couple of a days ago, and the only reason why I'm still with him is because I would have done the same exact thing had it been me in his situation... so good luck, and just admit that you were wrong. Hopefully she will be able to see why you lied to her in the first place and be okay with it.

well it seems like you know what you need to do. Apologize and tell her how you really feel. And next time just tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
