I love the naive innocence of your question. You obviously have no concept of the word atheist. Probably, you do not have a concept of anything.

True atheists or those that call themselves godless simply do not believe in the existence of higher powers or the afterlife. Those people are just like everyone else when it comes to where they are from, what they look like, and how they act. Most people that tell you they are atheists are just going through a bad time and want to blame some higher power for their problems. For those that seem hateful, since they can't seem to reach anything with which to attach blame, they blame "god(s)" for their pain. They use anti-religion as a cover for their fears and insecurities.

Hate is a universal human trait. It is not exclusive to any religion. On the contrary, atheists love themselves, they love knowledge, love truth, love open-minded people and love freedom. It is these qualities that make them shun religion. If you look at any major advance in history, who tried to suppress it? (Hint: it wasn't the atheists.)
If you look at the Biblical story of creation, what was mankind's sin? You know, the one we're supposedly being punished for? Eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Our "sin" is having knowledge. To believe in this story as fact is to hate knowledge.
There are many things atheists don't hate. But let me tell about a few things that a lot of atheists DO, in fact, hate: ignorance, lies, close-mindedness, supersition and the thought of people forcing foolish beliefs on them.

They believe in no gods. But any person that does not serve God the Father through Jesus Christ has believed a lie, and are thus following their father, which is Satan. This is scriptural. But believing is not enough, 'even the demons know and tremble' says the Word. A Christian is called to be a 'doer' of the Word, and not only a 'hearer' of the Word. What a BIG difference between the two! The thing they don't hate? Themselves. Good question. Good point.

Be careful not to generalize! To believe in God, you must also believe Satan exists. Likewise, doubting the existence of one, means you must also doubt the existence of the other. Not all atheists hate, either.
By the way, is open mindedness believing what you are told, like Christianity and religion does, or believing something different, like atheists do? You must look at yourself before criticizing others.

Actually - I see your thinking is flawed.
They don't hate themselves. Atheists do respect themselves.
They don't hate the thought of a God, they just can't logically understand a theist's point of view.
They don't hate life. Most of them love life and live it to the fullest considering most of them believe this life is *it*.
They don't hate knowledge. They're scientists and want to know how things work. This is the reason they can't believe in God.
They don't hate open-minded people. Many of them are open minded.
They don't hate freedom - they embrace it. They embrace it because it means they can say they don't believe in God without fear of persecution.
I think you're misguided. BTW - I'm not an atheist. I'm a pantheist so I do believe in gods. I don't hate either. :)

No, we do not believe in Satan, because we do not believe in the existence of any god.
How do you know I'm not a caring person? How do you know I hate life? I do not know about you, but I'm a very nice person. When it comes to life, trust me, if there is something I love, it is my life. I do not believe in the afterlife, so I will do whatever it takes to preserve my own existence. I don't see where you get these assumptions from.
And yes, there is something I do not hate, want to know that it is? It's anyone that is less ignorant than yourself, that is saying a lot.

No, not at all.
If there is a one true God of Atheists, I would say it is probably Reason.
Understand this: it is not a caring God which Atheists "hate." It is a cruel God. They see evil happening in the world, and some Theists insist that all that is created by God, so they reason that God is therefore cruel. THAT is the God they reject. Not a caring one.
I don't see Atheists as having any more hatred in their hearts than religious people. In fact, sometimes religious people have more MORE hatred. Now, I'm religious, so I'm not trying to put down religious people. I'm just stating what I see as facts. Some religious people are very loving, but also some Atheists are very loving.
I really think you need to rethink your perspective.

Atheists are void of anything religious, they say they are spiritual, but the spirit is something supernatural. Go figure! They are misunderstood creatures. Hating someone (GOD) they do not believe in.
Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of deities
Agnosticism (from the Greek a, meaning "without" and gnosis, "knowledge", translating to unknowable) is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims — particularly theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God.

I don't hate you even though you have once again piled all Atheists into one category. In fact, it's quite ignorant of people to pile us all into one category.
I completely disagree with you. I don't have hate towards anyone regardless of race, creed, nationality, sexual orientation, religious belief, or in your case, lack of common sense. I'm an Equal Opportunity Atheist I guess you could say.
I definately don't hate myself. In fact, I had an extremely low self esteem and sense of self until I became an Atheist. Now, I feel confident in everything about myself, because I know that I have chosen every part of my life for myself.
I don't hate the thought of a "caring god" either, I just choose not to believe in one. Doesn't mean you can't though. By all means, knock yourself out.
I definately don't hate life. I LOVE LIFE! I have a terrific family, great friends, and I am VERY happy! I'm really happy knowing that I chose everything and everyone involved in my life.
I don't hate knowledge or the truth. This is where you an I really differ. My version of the knowledge and the truth is different from your belief. I believe that being an Atheist is gaining knowledge on your own and seeing the truth in organized religion. Again, you can believe what you want, it's a free country. I believe what I want, and that's not to believe. Oh, and that also shows that I believe in freedom.
Finally, I think that your entire question is a big piece of hypocratic nonsense simply for the part about hating open-minded people. You are hating us because we believe differently from you, so I guess that makes you close-minded. You aren't open-minded, I am. So doesn't that make YOU hate open-mindedness? As a Christian (or whatever you are), you are brought up to believe that people who don't believe are going to hell, so you persecute and segregate yourself away from those people. You call them out on boards like this with open-ended, ignorant questions, and yet, we are the one who hate open-minded people.
You are a hypocrite my friend, BIGGER than life! We don't believe in god or the devil or heaven and hell, so your question is pointless. It's going to be a neverending battle with people like you. I'm just glad that there are religious people in the world that know that not all Atheists are bible-bashers, and that for the most part, we are extremely intelligent, respectful people. They respect us for what we don't believe, and I respect them for what they do.
When you open your eyes one day and follow the "god is love" approach, then maybe you will be a little more respectful towards us Atheists, and we won't think you are just a bible thumping idiot sitting behind a computer screen because you are a coward.

Wow, you really have no idea what Atheism is. Of course satan is not our god, we do not believe in god, therefor we do not believe in satan. That is what atheism IS. We do not hate god, we believe there is no god.
I can't speek for all Atheist, but I love life and truth and knowlage. I am very happy and openminded.
We certainly do not hate freedom....that is just silly. I don't know where you get you ideas, but it seems to me that christians are the ones full of hate.
