Grey hair with dark roots?

This is odd, I have found a few grey hairs but they are at the END of my hair strand, not at the root. The roots and 2 inches of hair next to my head are all the regular color. It's like I went grey for awhile then switched back. Anyone else ever find this?

Yep. In times of stress, I get more grey. Then if the stress goes away so does some of the grey. I have found hairs that are blond then grey and then blond again.
