Are you supposed to wear your engagment ring with wedding band on outside or inside. which one goes on first?

The wedding band goes on first because it is "closest to your heart". I had the same question for my jeweler when I was getting married.
Also, if you get a 5-year anniversary band, your wedding ring goes on your finger first followed by the engagement ring followed by the 5-year ring.

Depends if you have an engagement ring to match the wedding ring.
My engagement ring was specially custom made; therefore, there is no wedding band that goes with it. I have to add on to this ring to make it into a wedding ring. It is difficult but actually fun that I can pick out my own design on how I want it. more expensive. I am going through Isrial company as they sell to US and US sells for more price. Therefore, I am getting it cheaper and excellent quality at same time.
Usually the wedding ring goes on before the engagement ring. Depends on the set and how it is set up though as I have seen the reverse.

The engagement ring is a symbol of a promise, when worn alone. When you add the wedding ring, then wedding ring is supposed to sit closest to your heart as a sign of forever love. The engagement ring then becomes a guardian of the wedding ring, to protect that love.....I read up on this when I got married, had the same question....GL;)

It is up to you. I don't even wear my engagement ring anymore cuz it gets caught on stuff too much. But traditionally you wear your wedding ring closest to your heart and your engagement ring protects the vows (The band that represents those vows anyway.) So wedding ring inside and engagement outside

The wedding band goes on first and then the actual ring. At least thats what I have been told.

The wedding band goes closest to your heart. So when you walk down the isle you shouldn't have a ring on, then your hubby will put on the wedding band at the ceremony and after you will put your engament ring on.

typically, the wedding band goes beneath the engagement ring on the finger. this is how i wear mine and all the people i know wear theirs. :-)
