I see all those sites and crap for a free credit report but it never actually ends up free...
I ended up getting screwed and stuff got opened in my name when I turned 18, cause I have such a common name or something... either way it was pretty bad for awhile and I havent checked it in about 2 years and wanted to know a cheap or decent way to go about getting it checked just to see where Im at...
So maybe I can apply for a credit card, or get a cell phone in my name, without it costing $500 up front, etc...

go to Equifax.com. I think you can get a 3 month score watch for like 21.00. Its $7 a month but you can cancel after three. It comes with a free credit score from Equifax. This is only one of the three that makes up the beacon score, but it is usually very close to what the beacon score is. Plus, while you subscribe to it, they monitor your credit for updates or changes or when people access it to prevent Identidy Theft.

There are sites where you can get a report free. When you initially fill out the online forms you need to enter in your credit card info, but once you receive your first FREE report wait about a day or two and call back and cancel the subscription.

Just read the terms if you dont pick from the companies listed below and make sure there is no disclaimer that you can cancel out the contract early.
