If he has treated girls badly in the past chances are he will treat girls badly in the future. See him at your own risk. You might be writing Yahoo Answers about being badly treated in a few months.

You should do what makes you happy but you should also look at what your friends are saying also. If he treated other girls wrong or badly then what makes you think you wont treat you the same?

Why would you want to go out with a guy known to have a bad reputation with girls? If you get hurt, you'll have no reason to cry because you went into it knowing what typically happens to chicks he dates...
If you want to give it a go, then do so...but don't cry to your friends if it goes down the toilet...they tried to warn you, which is what friends do...
I think you'd be better off listening to them...but sometimes the child has to get burned on the hot stove, before believing it will really hurt them...

He will probably treat you like dirt. You should find another love interest. Your friends are your friends for a reason. probably because you get along, and you think a like, and you value their opinions. You dont' want to accept how he use to be, but your friends know what's going on. They dont' want to see you hurt. I wouldn't waste my time on a guy that is a jerk.

Will your friends be pushing you around in 50 years like this grow some self respect and do as you want . Learn now that giving in and following those around you will condem you to a life of insecurity and misery .

Take heed from your friends....they probably are thinking they don't want to see their friend get mistreated....they'll be there for you when you fall!
Just think to yourself would you be okay with the idea of your mom dating a guy with the same reputation?!

Think for yourself and make up your own mind. The only way you'll know for sure is to go out with him. If he turns out to be a jerk, you end it and move on.
If your friends are really your friends, they won't say "I told you so!", but will be there to support you.

if you go out with him, be careful..obviously..if you would actually lose your friends over it..unless you think youre gonna marry the guy, id stay away. you shouldnt just not do something because of your friends, but clearly they are only saying it to look out for you..andd friends should come before boyss. they last longer.

the past *almost* always repeats itself....
so, do you want to learn the hard way? your friends only want to protect you from getting hurt & they are good friends for caring about you. this guy could really damage you & your self esteem. is it worth the risk?
