My hair right now is all one length, to the middle of my back, and I'm very bored with it. I've been considering cleopatra bangs (which are straight cut, simple bangs at about eyebrow length or slightly longer). I have naturally entirely straight, dark hair, but it's very fine and delicate. I like the cleopatra/egyptian look, so that's not a downside to consider for me, and I'm a bellydancer so anything to add to my middle eastern looks is a bonus, not a negative.
Mainly, would cleopatra bangs work with fine hair if I chop them straight? I haven't had bangs for at least ten years, so I don't remember how they work.

The bangs sound great for you and the look your trying to pull off. With fine hair you are going to go with a pretty thick bang. Remember the old pie bangs? They are going to start at almost the center top of your head a little forward. Go online and check out some pics of Liz Taylor or Joan Collins doing the role of Cleo. And I think this would truly be a positive in middle eastern look. Oh and probably will be smoking hot.

I am not too fond of the straight across cut bang, but maybe if you wanted bangs you could get them tapered to go with the length, maybe frame your face. It would depend a lot on the shape of your face if it would work for you. Otherwise go with what you like, it's your hair!

I have my bangs cut like that, and who cares what anyone else thinks? Try cutting them a little bit longer at first, past your eyebrows, to see if you will even like that style. If not, leave them alone and just sweep them to the side. That's a good look, too!

cleopatra bangs would seem nice in the way you described your hair but maybe you should be creative.

I say go for it if your eveyday hair style is STRIAGHT, I think those bangs look awesome with straig hair, kinda chopy. you know really straing bangs with the straight hair, and if it's dyed dark brown,.... that would look HOTT!!!

try a test first to see if it suits you...take a good size amount of your hair...then make it as if you have bangs...
just my two cents...
but with your background and complexion...you would look amazing with bangs! good luck girl!

It's more about if you would feel comfortable wearing them. Who cares what others think, it's your hair, you have to wear it all the time. If you dig it, go for it!
