This is a story about the chicken and the egg. The chicken was in bed with the egg. things got a little out of hand. then afterwards the chicken turned to the egg and said, "For the record, i came first."
so my answer would be the chicken.

At some point in time an almost-chicken laid an egg and out came a chicken . I say the egg came first.

Biblical Logic
The chicken would have come first because the adult human (Adam) came first when created by God (If you believe it). Now, why would God create an adult human, but not a full grown chicken?
Evolutionary Logic
In evolutionary terms, the previous species of the chicken would have laid an egg containing what we know as the chicken, therefore the egg came first, which contained the chicken.

The egg came first because God had a tree in
the center of the Garden of Eden that grew eggs and from these eggs came the different
animals & birds and it was forbidden to eat the
raw eggs because they contained life.
