I am addicted to disgusting and vile habits that degrade my soul (pornography and masturbation). This pain I feel runs deep, this guilt burns at my soul from within.

thought i should mention that this burning is by no means literal. my genitals do NOT hurt after i have masturbated. its the best way i could describe how i feel, inside.

Hiya.
We are born with lust so that people will multiply. If we didn't have lust we wouldn't talk much to the other sex :) So now the stuff you are into starts simple and small and ends up out of control. If you are really concerned about it then step outside of yourself and look at it. First of all you got to find out if you really want to get rid of it or not.

At least you have a conscience.To some people that's the last thing that they would feel guilty about.At least you do realize that pornography is wrong and you want help.Just pray about it.You may need to get professional help.Are you married?If so maybe your wife can help you with this.Don't be to hard on your self everybody sins just know that if you ask you will be forgiven.You can do all things through Jesus.You can beat this.

You are a human animal. Sexual urges are completely natural. Masterbation is healthy. Repressing sexuality is not healthy. I don't have an opinion one way or another regarding pornography. I don't care for it, but I don't think it's terrible.
We're very sexually repressed in this country. That's where the guilt comes from. We're told sex is bad, evil, and dirty. It sounds to me you grew up being told this. That's where the guilt comes from. You have to de-program yourself from that line of thinking. Quite frankly I think masterbation is a far better outlet (and safer) than sleeping with multiple partners indiscriminately.

So take a break. Even the best pornography can pall if you get too much of it.
Have a cleansing fast/break. You'll feel better for it, get some neglected duties done, and then you can go back to it fresh as a daisy!

Most young men are addicted to porn every man has watched it! Yes being a lady I find it offensive and degrading but I always remember guys like you may watch it but I'm sure you wouldnt date a porn star( if you had any respect) as men get older I find it more disgraceful as their not adolescents any more and probably have wives! Masturbation is perfectly natural I do it almost every day! Ha! Dont worry about the porn you'll grow out of it! Unless ur already 40! Then U are disgusting!!

That is a load of garbage. It did not degrade your soul, it settled into the part of your mind that has been warped by religion. Neither will damage you in any way unless you let them and then it is only mentally. Your religion has opened that door to your mind. It needs to be closed again.

If you are really serious that you feel this way about it, then you are in a very good place.
You say the very thing to Jesus that you've said here and earnestly ask Him to come into your heart, into your life, and set you free, He absolutely will set you free. Will you have a battle after you are cleansed? Yes. You have these images in your mind, and these images will try and come back to try and harass you and entice you back into bondage. But the good news is, if you are born again, born anew of the Spirit, if you are made a new creature in Christ then greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
Just like the children of Israel didn't just get a run up the middle once Pharaoh finally told them to go and worship their God but came after them once they were free, so the enemy that enticed you into these things that are now bondage for you in the first palce will try and entice you back into the very bondage that Jesus sets you free from.
But Jesus said to be of good cheer. He has overcome the world. John 16:33. And just as God drowned Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea while His people Israel crossed over in safety on dry land, so also if Jesus Christ lives in you and you give Him your life and Lordship over your life, He will bring you through, and you will know this glorious liberty of the children of God. I am living proof that He absolutely will bring you to this place of liberty.

Masturbation is normal. Pornography just helps you get it done faster so that you can focus on more important things like homework. Actually, I'd even argue that masturbation is more important than homework because it's more fulfilling. Who can do homework when they're not happy?
