You're right, if you are skinny, I doubt you have 26% body fat as that would make you overfat.
There are a couple of online calculators I found (see below), that may give you a rought estimate, but it would be best to have it checked professionally and not by one of those hand held devices.
However, just remember if you store all your fat in one area, such as the stomach, it may not be entirely accurate.

Just google BMI and it'll give you a reading based on stats you put it. You need a scale and a tape measure. Check at least 3 different websites and average the number. That's probably the closest you'll get without getting it professionally done.
Also, just because youre skinny, it doesnt mean dont have high body fat. Most models have at least 25% body fat. It's because they dont have much muscle, which might be the case with you.
Good luck with your exercise routine!

The most accurate way to check your % of body fat is through a water displacement test. The downside is it's usually pricey and you can't do it right away.
You could always try one of the weight scales that give you a fat % reading. Not the most accurate, but not bad either. You can buy one for around $40.

Yes, 22% is quite good. I wish I was that low. But when you are looking at your BMI remember that different people have different body types. Personally I don't think that I could ever get my weight down to the point that this chart tels me I should.

If you can find it, the book "Protein Power" is excellent (and has the poor man's technique and look-up tables for calculating body fat %).
