I have a 6 Year old who is reluctant to speak. Once we go around other children she can be very quiet for along time, but when she is willing to talk she can be quite mean and bossy. She is usually in a bad mood and never happy. My home is very normal, my husband and I don't argue in front of the kids, and tend to get them involved in lots of activities and things kids like. I have one other kid who is about one year younger who is always in a happy mood, even though my 5 year old lashes out at her for no reason. Is there something wrong with my child please help.

I really don't think so.Has she been like this forever? My 4 year old is so mean and aunwry,She cries at everything but very smart and nice sometimes.Kids go threw the wierdest life changes events it's unreal.Sounds to me like she's seriously going threw a faze.Try her and mommy time see if she is different than and if she's different than and then you come home and she changes back into herself you know it's just her trying to get attention or something.

There could be something wrong with your child. I would have the situation evaluated by a pediatrician as well as a mental health professional. You want this worked out asap to avoid bigger problems in the future. I was a social worker who worked with troubled children, and often symptoms like these preceeded the bigger ones that I saw.

Since there is only a year difference between the two perhaps she is asking for more attention .Since the younger one gets it by being good this one gets it by being the opposite.
Give her one on one time at least two times a week.
Read book by Maria Montessori .

she probably want one on one time with parents. You will have 2 figure out a plan for anger management. Some kind of reward system.

i think your child is probably shy around other children or she might have a prob tryin to make friends... the best way is to talk to her or take her to a child psychiatrist as dis may ruin her future.
