This is what I do and they are both the best. For Green Beans I add S&P and somtimes also some garlic powder. Another way I do green beans is cut up soem bacon in little chunks and fry them. When the bacon is done addit to your drained pot of green beans and then add some onions if you like.

For corn I drain add a little bit of butter and pepper and then let it cook on med low until hot. Sometimes I let the corn cook a little longer and it will make it a little sweet.

Things You'll Need: •Bag of dried beans •Clove of garlic •1 Stalk of celery •1 Large onion •1 Tablespoon vegatable base •1 Tomato cubed •1 Can of diced carrots •Black pepper & salt to taste Soak Dried Beans overnight. Step 2 Rinse, put beans back in pan and cover with water. Step 3 Add to that garlic, celery, onion & vegetable base. Step 4 Cook about 45 minutes and then add tomato. Step 5 Cook about 15 minutes longer and add carrots. (If you use real carrots put them in at the beginning. I cheated.) Simmer until the beans are soft. Approx another 30 minutes. Step 6 Serve up and enjoy!

add a lil bacon fat , salt, pepper or you can add some cream of chicken soup and stuffing mix and bake in oven for a quick string bean casserole.
You could also add french fried onions to the green beans.
You could make a cold green bean salad. Dice some onion and tomato and add to the green beans and toss with some italian dressing. Tomatoes and onions aren't necessary.

For canned green beans - I use a sprinkle of Lemon Pepper, Salt and butter.

I have also taken small bundles of green beans (about 10 in each bundle), wrapped them in a slice of bacon and placed them on a baking sheet and poured Catalina dressing on them and broiled them - they are sooooooooo good that way.

Corn - you can add roasted red and green peppers, onions and go for a spanish style corn. I always add a pinch of sugar to my corn to make it sweeter. Butter, salt and pepper are wonderful.

Green beans, you can first cook some onions and bacon and then add the beans. And with corn you can get some canned diced tomatoes with chilies and cook out the juices then add the corn. I swear they are both really great and easy!

I like Stubb's Barbecue Seasoning & Rub. It has a nice mixture of spices and makes a great seasoning agent for just about anything. I use it on all vegetables and on popcorn. It is also good sprinkled on french fries! You can pick up a little jar of it at the grocery store and it isn't expensive at all. Look for it near the spices.
