I have been taking three a day. (it all started because I was prescribed it for my headaches and am still getting refills on request)...well I am addicted -without it, I am irritable, weak, tired, frustrated, crabby, moody, and just want to sleep...how do I get rid of these feelings? Should I just STOP all together? (I am 2 months pregnant)...any advice is greatly appreciated.

You should ask your Doctor.
Ween yourself off that junk. You don't need it, you think it makes you cranky. Just be aware of yourself and like I said ween off of them it will take a couple of weeks but you should be able to do it. You are you. Do it for you and the baby.

Vicodin is a highly addictive narcotic. You should have never been prescribed this for headaches and certainly not received refills without seeing the Dr. Don't go back to this Dr. Anyone who would prescribe Vicodin to a pregnant woman-----well, I cannot say! Do not stop cold turkey. This is a serious situation because you are pregnant and this could affect your baby. You must get to an OB Dr. right away and tell them about this. You will HAVE to detox and it must be medically managed!

Make a doctor's appointment to get a blood attempt carried out. Blood attempt are a hundred% precise. in case you dont bypass to the scientific professional wait a pair greater days and take yet another being pregnant attempt and use your first pee interior the morning, it has the utmost point of HCG. the comparable subject surpassed off to me, I ignored my pill for 3 days and you will purely miss 2 max so I had to provide up the delivery administration for a month. My nipples have been given very sore to boot, yet I did get my era. So it must be the effects of the pill, or it must be your pregnant... particularly in case you're having unprotected intercourse. good success!

Sounds like you need to talk to your OBGYN right away. If you don't quit your baby will be addicted.

I would think about trying two a day and then down to one.
Be sure you are eating plenty of good food that will counteract those feelings. But all that said, you need professional help.

You should never have been prescribed a med designed for temporary pain relieve for a chronic condition like headaches. So don't go to the doc who gave them to you!

Taper off slowly, your still going to feel some symptoms of withdrawal but they won't be so severe. Your probably going to still crave them after you've stopped altoghter you become psychologically addicted as well as physically. So expect some cravings, moodiness, and irritability, but tapering off slowly should alleviate the physical symptoms. Hope this helps and good luck you have an excellent reason to stop.

I would discuss the current situation with your OBGYN first. Your first priority right now is your unborn child.

Then you can work on yourself. You cannot stop this drug cold turkey like the above *** hole said. If you do your body will go into shock, trauma's, you will vomit, and go through major with drawl. Then you will seriously be hurting the child and yourself and since you aren't that far along this matter needs to have doctor assistance.

I would suggest a rehab center. Your OBGYN may even have a center that he/she is familiar with. They can help you safely ween off of the drug and get on the right track.

Best of luck to you and your child.

Shame on your doctor to give it to you for just headaches. It's a seriously addicting narcotic medication that should only be used on major body pain. Especially after surgeries. I have some patients who uses Vicodin for sleep. It really is kind of sad. But anyway- If you do want help- you can always enroll in a program for the addicts.

umm.. sounds like you need to go to rehab.. it could really harm your baby... possibly cause SIDS or another deformaity... go to a doctor right away and tell them not to give you vicodin anymore and you will be forced to not take any more.. or you and baby just go to rehab

Don't listen to these tools. The only way to stop an addiction is cold turkey. Stop it and DEAL WITH IT.
