Okay, so my friedns and I are out at the bar. A guy stops and starts talking, he's cute, so one of my friends and I go to the bathroom, and leave him alone with our friend who is in a rut. When we get back we sit a little ways away. The guy leaves. Later on that evening, there is an open spot beside me. The guy sits down and starts a convesation. Im not that interested, for I am not in a rut. I start talking to my friends and I over hear him telling the guy next to him that Gorgeous shot hime down. That made me wonder. What is the difference between being called hot, beautiful or gorgeous? Is one better to be called than the other?

Well it depends on u or the person. Gorgeous is more powerful, because he is saying u look really,really beautiful. Beautiful is nice. Its saying ur beautiful, but not going over board if u know what i mean. The word hot is ok, but most of the time its a sexual thing. If a guy says ur hot, 9 out 10 he is thinking a lot of sexual thoughts. I think if a guy just says ur beautiful and tells all the beautiful things about u, then thats ok. I should know because i am guy. I know how we all think and those are it :)

Talking about a guy, beautiful doesn't always suit, gorgeous is probably the best one but it depends on the guy. A Lot of guys will take Hort as an insult but not all of them, the shallow ones think its great.

Hot usually means he's picturing you in bed. Beautiful usually means he wants to take you home to meet his mother. Gorgeous is a nice combination of the two. I'd rather be called that.

Are you serious, they all are pretty much the same. How do you know if he was even talking about you? You sound to me like your a little stuck on yourself, get over it... your probably not all that anyways. Some guys have no idea what gorgeous is, ask your girlfriends.

Hot- Is basically a hook up only. A guy who calls you hot is usually only looking for like a one night stand and isnt looking for nothing serious.
Beautiful- Is saying that your really good looking and maybe someone he would like to get to know more and maybe be together with.
Gorgeous- Means that he is really into you and wants to start to get to know you right now! he does not think of you as just a hook up but a definite potential girlfriend.
Im glad you decided not to hook up with him thought because thats messed up for your friend.

Well, I'd rather be called beautiful or gorgeous over hot because I've found that guys that call girls hot are usually jerks.

Well hot means that youve got a nice body. Beautiful means you have a beautiful face. Gorgeous means you have both packages. Your more than beautiful and hot.

I think gorgeous is a combo of everything...like full package while beautiful is more of a real women, where as hot, is a piece of be-hind....I dunno...its different for everyone.

My impression of hot is really good looking and kinda sexy.
Beautiful is so pretty it's almost breath taking.
Gorgeous is now more like a little more refiened than hot.
