I am a colorist and I'm here to help you.

The hardest thing about looking good in your new color is stepping up and trying it. I love the choices you have said light brown with a bit darker under. I would make you one suggestion. Please, please go get it done at a salon. When you work with very light hair things that go wrong increase drastically, more so when you try to do it at home. When you talk to the colorist to choose the colors you want to go with I would suggest going with a semi, or demi permanent color. This will reduce the risk of you "pulling" darker than you would like to be. Shadowing looks hot also that is the darker underneath. If your nervous about it you can also do a shadow under then lowlight in some lighter browns on top with your blonde being the highs in your new look. Sounds like it is going to look smokin'. If you are having second thoughts then here are somethings my father said to me when I was scared to try something new. "Toughin up you baby, rub some dirt on it and let's go!!!" You will look great so step off with both feet and enjoy your new look and style.

I am a natural blonde (but not platnium), more of a medium blonde. I have colored it brown one time and it didnt last very long. I colored it back to blonde a few days later. Going light to dark is a big change. You might try dark highlights first to see if a darker color suits you.

Ask your stylist what she thinks, she'll have the best opinion of what colors would look good on you, but YOU should definately make sure you'll be happy w/it because i am naturally light blond and tried to go darker once, and the color is very hard to change back. It will take 2 bleachings and a few colorings with your own color to get it back right, (and btw i'm a girl using my bf's profile)

I'm a natural blonde and I dye my hair light brown in the winter. I have never gone dark brown but I bet it would look good.

I am naturally blonde and I dyed my hair brown one winter and I HATED it. I will never do it again. It's totally up to you but I didn't like it :) Also, I would have it professionally done so it turns out better

well, I have a female friend who dyed her hair from blonde to red (she used henna actually) and she loves it, it suits her much better. If you want it, do it.
