Making a special dinner for my husband and won't have long after I get off work. Can you PLEASE recommend something easy to make for him that is not too time intensive and tastes great. Also, I hate ice cream so that's OUT of the question! Thanks!

buy a loaf cake, the entemanns one is perfect for this, tub of cool whip and strawberries. slice the cake, put a dallop of cool whip, and sliced strawberries on top, you can top with another slice of cake if you sliced them thin, this is an easy, simpe and elegant,,, if you plate it well it will look amazing

Cheesecake brownies
INGREDIENTS
1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 cup white sugar
DIRECTIONS
Prepare the brownie mix as directed by manufacturer. Preheat oven to temperature indicated on box. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Using an electric mixer, beat together the cream cheese, egg and sugar until smooth. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter. Swirl together using a knife or skewer.
Bake according to manufacturer's instructions. Brownies will be done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan, then cut into bars and serve.

My favorite quick dessert that gets rave reviews is so simple, you won't believe it. I used to be a personal chef and I served this to people all the time. They never knew what it was!!! I take grapes (whatever kind you like). Put them in the freezer or fridge while you're eating dinner. Then, mix them in a bowl with lemon yogurt (I like Dannon, but use whatever you have). Put this mixture in fancy glasses and garnish with a lemon slice, strawberry or mint leaf if you have any of these. Serve it with confidence. I don't know why, but this tastes amazing. Plus, it's healthy!

1 can Fruit cocktail in Lite syrup
1 container Cool whip
1 cup mini marshmallows
1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
1 packet any flavor Jello mix
Combine all desired ingredients and add jello mix to taste (a whole packet will make the flavor very strong)
Refrigerate before serving and the mixture will stiffen.

Yes, get a frozen Sara Lee pound cake
1 jar of lemon curd (in aisle w/jams & jelly's)
1 pint of fresh strawberries, sliced
1 container of whipped cream
Slice the cake into 3rds, lengthwise, not top to bottom. Spread lemon curd over each cake slice. Layer the slices with strawberries. Return each slice to the loaf pan it came out of to re-assemble the cake. Cut in good size slices and top with cream. It'll look like it took hours to make but really it only took minutes.

Try cheesecake or key lime pie. You can buy it in the frozen aisle, and pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds..yum yum!
