there are many styles, gojoru, karate-do, Isshinryu, and many others. However, they all are taken from the same ancient style. much like how all the different romance languages (Italian, Spanish, French, etc.) all came from Latin

I train Shotokan karate, which originated in Okinawa. I don't know which others did, but there's one for you anyway.

To many to count, however it's not the style the karateka learns, it's how the karateka applies what he or she has learned.

Too many..... and they all came from one... so really there is only one style, with many off-shoots.
