When I was little, I was told there was a God. We would argue (my friends & sisters & I) about li'l things about Him, but we just knew He watched us & looked over us. We weren't labeled or anything, but when I got older the other kids had specific denominations, I asked my mom what we were ~ she said just Christian. So that's what I was, I went to a bible church that just taught out of the bible, no particular rules or dogma's ~ we just got together read verses, played games & sang songs to God. I remember it fondly. I have never doubted the existence of God, never faltered. He knows that more than anyone else, and that's what matters most to me. I just have faith, always have always will.:o]

I'm a Christian and was raised in a small Methodist Church. I wasn't really thrilled about Church back then. I attend a Non-Denominational Church now. I try my best to be a good Christian and follow the word of the Bible, although I'm not perfect, and I do make mistakes (which usually turn out to be learning experiences). I do not hate anyone. I wish others could feel what I feel about the Lord. He's totally changed my life for the better. Others have seen a change in me as well.
There's so much more...but you get the idea.

I am on the Protestant side of Christianity - United Methodist, to be exact.
I have accepted Christ as personal Savior, and know that I am loved equally with everyone else, no matter what sin I may have commited, but knowing I can ask forgivness & accepting the grace gift God gave me/us through His only Son, Jesus. I also know that I must try to be a more perfect Christian (different from being a perfect person - no one except Jesus was or ever will be perfect) as I continue my faith journey to the end on Earth so I can start my new journey in Heaven.
Also, Methodists have the slogan "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" - we also have open communion where ANYBODY, member or not, can come to the table to be served. Jesus made it a point to interact with the sinners to prove He loved everyone just that equally.

Most things in religion were made up to explain things that science couldn't...example "a guy in a chariot bringing the sun up" that explained why the sun rose because the Romans couldn't do it with science....Now many things can be explained by science that makes a larger part of the bible irrelevant...the bible was also put together by someone who wasn't even a Christian until he was on his death bed...so how do we know he didn't leave the most important peace out......The notion of heaven and hell was made up to kind of be like a Santa for adults....if you are bad you get coal (hell) but if you are good you get presents (heaven) this was just to make a better community.....just like the reason Jewish people aren't supposed to eat pig is because in the time many people were dying from a disease in the pigs so to have enough people for the religion to survive they told them to stop eating pigs....Christians hate because most are not true Christians.....the only reason you should believe in Jesus is if it helps you psychologically deal with life otherwise i wouldn't...why should we believe one person who says they are the son of god when we don't even know what events are true...just because a lot of people believe in something doesn't make it true

Christan-Protestant-The church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints
I am a Christan because a try to follow what Christ taught. I try to fallow the commandments and the word of wisdom.(for those of you who don't know the word of wisdom is something else that the LDS church does that many others do not, for example, we don't drink alcohol, smoke, tattoo our bodies, drink coffee, look at, read, or listen to pornographic material. or take any addictive substances.) i am not saying this makes me better than anyone else, these are simply the standards of my church and i try my hardest to follow them
well that just about sums it up, i am off to work.
with love,
Nik
