I was conditioning my hair all over, and I noticed that after washing my hair I was getting more hair in the drain for about 2 months. I stopped using the conditioner all over and now it is not falling out as much. I can 't tell if my hair was falling out more due to the conditioner or to the hair cycle thing because it lasted for about 2 months.

I have been noticing lately that I am losing about 20 hairs in the drain after washing my hair, when this problem was going on it was alot more than that.

Yes, because it clogs the pores in the scalp.

Yes, conditioner is like WD-40 for your roots- it loosens the hair follicle and makes it come out. But keep in mind that sometimes after a shower where you used less conditioner, there may be more hair that fell out but you cant tell in the drain since conditioner helps the hair that already fell out slide out and onto the drain more easily. in general if your worried about your hair falling out, try massaging your scalp and strengthening your hair.

That shouldn't be the case. Are you sure you weren't just noticing it more? We all lose hair in the shower, and sometimes it can look like a lot. But it isn't really...just the natural process of shedding that we go through. Try starting the conditioner again and see what happens. Try using a "hair snare" in the drain, and compare systematically instead of just by "sight". And if you are losing a LOT of hair...call your doctor asap.

it might be the wrong conditioner for your hair! I use conditioner all the time. my Problem is the opposite! when I don't use conditioner it comes out more! try seeing a dermatologist to see what the issue is!
