we can wear black or white shirts. The difference in aprons matter. Green is a regular barista and black is a coffee master or a shift supervisor (who is usually a coffee master)

It might mean that they are different "ranks." The white shirt could mean managerial status or something, while the black shirts are for regular baristas. OR it could be that they have a choice of which shirt they would like to wear! Who knows :) Good question though!

Black shirts mean you're a coffee master...white shirts, I've never seen; asked my son who works for Starbucks and he said he didn't know about the white shirts; maybe it's a local thing for only some Starbucks.

At my starbucks we only wear black shirts. The one across the street has black and red shirts. I`ve never seen white ones
