I have seen this question a thousand times, I have also felt this way a few times myself. A broken heart is so painful and the only remedy I have ever found to heal the heart is... time. Day by day, your heart will begin to become strong again, so strong it will not be broken so easily next time around. Keeping busy and looking to family and friends for support will help. I am so sorry you are hurting, but I promise, it will get better soon.

There's NO answer to that Question, But there's things you could do to get over a broken heart for example go out with friends don't stay at home at all or never be by your self.
I never taught I would ever get over my ex till I started going out and meeting new people.
You cant tell your heart to get over it but you could help you and your heart to feel better.

Think about all the things that are good about yourself. Then, break out the list. If you don't already have a list, make a list of things you're looking for in a partner. See what parts this ex didn't match up to. Now, celebrate yourself as a person, start a new hobby, go shopping, write something. Get closer to yourself because you can only love someone else as much as they deserve when you love yourself as much as you deserve.

As the old saying goes....
"Time Heals All Wounds."
Unfortunate, but it will get better.
You reminded me of this song...
I can think of younger days when living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do.
I could never see tomorrow, but I was never told about the sorrow.
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend a this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.
I can still feel the breeze that rustles through the trees
And misty memories of days gone by
We could never see tomorrow, no-one said a word about the sorrow.
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.

You sure as hell don't start eating ice cream. Reconnect with family and friends. As the time goes by, it will become easier. I myself have gone through somethings with a former partner and realized us breaking up is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Sure it was hard but everyday gets a lil easier. Good luck.

Time. I know it dosent help but theres no way around that. No amount of beer, drugs, friends, outings will change that. Time will fix that broken heart.

Heart Breaks can be hard. So it's just going to take time. Maybe join a sport or a club, it'll get your mind off them.

It does take time, but it is supposed to be a learning process for you....a time of self discovery, so you don't bring all the bad stuff into the next relationship. It sucks! But is a very necessary part of your life. Embrace this time for yourself.......do whatever makes you happy and spend time with those who know your worth.

Certainly you have other individuals in your life who love you and you love them in return. They say time heals, and while it is true, right now it may seem like you will be miserable forever and a day. You need to keep on keepin' on, like we used to say 'back in the day'. Someday the person who left you feeling so hurt may realize the mistake he/she made and regret the deed.
Keep your chin up and if, and when you need to cry, do so, let it out. Then get up, brush yourself off, wash your face and smile, even though you may still be in pain (on the inside). Like I tell everyone I know: "Never, ever, let them see you sweat". You can quote me too if you like :)
