im a christian and i want to know some short but touching prayers. thanks

Try the Psalms. They are beautiful.

I'm not christian but I believe that the nicest prayers are the ones that come from you, because when you're writing and reciting them you know it comes from within your heart and you know why you're saying them. In a christian prayer book, do you understand and believe every word they wrote for that prayer?

The best prayers, and those that will be honoured by God are those that come from your heart...such as an earnest prayer for the salvation of an unsaved loved one or friend. Don't subscribe to repetitious prayers, though, just talk to God, as you would talk to your Daddy....that's what pleases Him and gets results...make Him a part of every aspect of your life.

I don't know of any prayers that aren't nice. Long, yes, but anytime you talk to Jesus you can consider it a prayer and I beleive that He hears all of us.

dear, you don't need to pray " really nice prayers" you need to realize that Prayer is the sincere desire of your heart making itself know to God. God is not impressed with repeating what some one else has said to Him. He wants you to be Real with Him. God Bless You

I"ve always been partial to "Hail Holy Queen", but I think that's more Catholic then plain Chrisitian.

Look for the Prayer of Saint Francis on line. It is one of the most beautiful and simple.

God want a pray that is from the heart not a pray that is used by some one else he does not want to hear repetitive prays. Your pray your heart.
