Jehova's witnesses.

I don't think they have much success with intelligent people though.

I do agree that Jw's keep the busiest (as lay members) going door-to-door trying to convert people. I however have enough respect for the people (though I disagree with their doctrine) not to label them negativly. For the first responder to this question, perhaps you should go look up the definition of a cult and see if atleast one of the definitions doesn't fit you. There is no reason to hurle acusations when you do not understand a religion in the first place.

Jehovah's Witnesses do keep very busy going door to door in their ministry. However, they are not trying to get converts, but rather to give everyone the opportunity to gain accurate knowledge of Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ. One of the main reasons is stated at

John 17:3..."This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. "

We are not a cult, but we are Jehovah's organization and we are doing God's will for us.

Matthew 24:14: "14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."

Matthew 28:10 & 20: "19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

That's a tough one, between the Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons. I think the Mormons have about 50K missionaries world-wide knocking on doors, but then in the Jehovah Witness religion they expect all members to proselite (I think); they have over 6.6 million members world-wide.

Jehovah's Witnesses. They had 0% increase of recruits in the United States due to the real "truth" about their organization. They are having a hard time keeping members in the States because of internet and news exposure on their shaky doctrines, beliefs, and the 23,000 pedophelia cases they kept hidden. They have increased their preaching work in foreign lands were the member growth is increasing, not because of Matthew 24:14, it is simply because these remote countries are not as well informed as we are in the States...

jehovah's witness, who take time out of their busy schedules(yes they have jobs, bills, families, responsabilities, etc.) to help others, door to door or through many other activities
and no they are not a cult...if people took the time to get to know them instead of judging they would see that

Jehovah's Witnesses in the US, if not elsewhere. Mormons are a poor second in these efforts, but equally as persistent and obnoxious, if not more so.

Well, actually to those who are saying Jehovah's Witnesses, this is not technically correct. We are not trying to "get converts."

We are trying to help the people to have the information they need so they can make an informed decision.
