Actually quite a few people. Hyperbolic Advertising has long been the powerful tool of any Business. People lap it up too i'm sure they're are stats somewhere to prove it's a viable means of increasing revenues if executed properly. Don't you find yourself running out at midnight to "grab a snickers" because you're "hungry"? disclaimers also play a popular part (results may vary - results may differ from - sucessful in a majority of cases....)

Believe it or not these words are required by law. The "Part of a healthy breakfast" in a children's cereal ad is also required to show what that healthy breakfast would entail (hence the glass of orange juice and milk and toast and all that surrounding the cereal bowl).

Believe me if the advertisers could they would use straight forward words like "WILL" but the law just doesn't allow it.

Hey sure they talk a load of old s hit e - but at least they keep all our cocaine dealers in business and off the unemployment lines - god love the advertising executive. Viva la long lunch!!!

The worst I ever heard was 'this cream contains light reflecting particles'. Everything reflects light, that's how you can see it. So they're basically saying 'you can see this cream'
It's just so they can try to convince you, but you can't sue them if it doesn't work

don't you just hate it when companies mislead people like this and can get away with it!! things like this should be regulated better and clamped down on so people don't get ripped-off!
