rip up all the carpet (yes, really) and get tile or lineoleum. If you want put down some area rugs that you can clean or replace. Dont do hardwood, that absorbs the pee smell forever too.
No amount of carpet cleaning gets rid of it, sorry. Just rip it out.

There is special carpet cleaning stuff you can buy, but if your looking for a home remedy vinegar is effective. It breaks up the amonia that is in the urine. Perhaps use the vinegar and then something like freebreeze to mask the vinegar. good luck

Get rid of those ugly pugs.
Toilet train your son and use a carpet deodoriser. Repeat use until the odor has gone.

Try vinegar water in your carpet steam cleaner, along with pet carpet shampoo and it seems to help.

My wife says the WAl-Mart brand of carpet cleaner works. We think it's in a red spray can.

there is specail stuff that carpet cleaners have to help and I also Febreze everything.It takes the smell out of my boyfriends stinky gym bag so.....

Almost every pet store will sell either Natures Miracle or SPoTZ, they both work great on animal urine.

I heard lemon juice but it may bleach. well that can't work because pee smells like lemons. Sorry don't know.
