Jerry was supposed to be Jewish. I think that George was an atheist. Elaine seems to imply that she is a non-practicing Roman Catholic. I am not sure if Kramer ever said that he had any beliefs. Ditto for Newman.

~~ I spent most of my 20's working in Hollywood. If you knew how many people in the entertainment industry are of Jewish heritage then the answer would be as obvious as the show's title. So what? ,,,Were you also worried, like VP Dan Quayle, about a fictional TV character choosing to raise a child without a father
?

Judaism, I think. And remember The Nanny? Judaism played such a strong role in that series as well.
