Do you think that the true believers out there get the same intellectual rush when they read their bibles as someone like me did when I read a truly groundbreaking work for the first time?

Do you genuinely feel sorry for them, as I do, in that they will never get to find out something new and wonderful about the natural world being forced to parse a 2,000 year old book of stories for their whole life?

Whoops forgot who I was talking to for a minute there. The Selfish Gene is probably the most earthshattering popular science book of the last 30 years, way more so than A Brief History of Time.

It is written by a certain R.Dawkins.

Do you ever get tired of stereotyping people by making assumptions about what they do and don’t read?

I’ve read several books by Richard Dawkins. I haven’t read the most recent yet, but probably will when I happen across it at the library.

Hmmm. Wonder, can’t recall, if Dawkins ever wrote an explanation of the human need to prejudge, to make assumptions about others.

How does "The Selfish Gene" fit into your other questions?

Thanks for feeling sorry for me - I appreciate it. I love God and want to live by His principles and please Him. This is my choice. The Holy Bible is "God breathed" - true inspiration of God but penned by men. I feel sorry for you dear one - going through life with blinders on - wanting to know Truth and never really finding it - now that is sad. I pray you find the Truth - Jesus Christ before it is too late.
