I suggest that you should wear one of two things: the first is a nice cocktail dress that isn't red, or black and not too revealing. Or possibly wearing a cute suit. You really can't go wrong in a suit.
As for your hair look through magazines for ideas. I'm sure you'll look just great!

o.k. first do not wear something sexy, or trashy or you WILL be talked about. Do not wear white, ivory or the colors of the bridesmaids, you would clash. Wear something that classy with out being trashy, I so think that classy is so much more attractive then wearing next to nothing. Try a pant suit, if you are tall that would accentuate your height, or a jacket style dress. You need to take in consideration of the time of the wedding, is it in the evening where more formal attire would be required or in the day where something more casual would be acceptable. maybe you should go shopping with someone else that is attending. Just remember you are a guest and this is not prom, so no need to get the formal up do with glitter in your hair.

I would get a dress, not white, and either put your hair up yourself or get it styled if you can. The dress shouldn't be too revealing, but can suit your style otherwise.

Wedding gift: usually couples register at different places now. Just find out where. If you want to stay away from their list, you could go for practical gifts, like anything for the house that you could afford (couples can never have enough towels, kitchen utensils, etc) and put them together in a nice basket, some of which could be personalized. You could get a gag gift for their honeymoon...I'll let you fill in the blanks.

you told us a lot but you did not specify the time of the wedding. Most outfits are marvelous for the morning, others for the evening.

1. Your hair - I would flick curls at the end; this would give you a lovely look and goes well with a hat as well.
2. you are in the utmost of your youth so go for something smashing like a pretty floral long dress with a modern cut and straps. A short warm jacket would complete the outfit
3. I would opt for a mint colour and red/dark pink/mocha florals and an ivory coloured shortie jacket.
4. Opt for sandals in gold/silver/bronze colour depending on the time of the wedding and the outfit colours. Wear silky gold colours tights to show off the beauty of your feet.
5. you did not specify the groom's occupation, but considering he is a close mate, I would opt for a gift fit for romance like a pair of glass objects having roses engraved on them

Most of all wear natural makeup making an emphasis on your eye pencil which is extremely fashionable this season.

Honey, this isn't such a big deal at all. Just look nice. You don't have to coordinate with anyone or anything. Dress like you're going to church.

Seriously, you're just a guest. So long as you don't look trashy, it really doesn't matter how you dress or wear your hair.

And don't worry about a gift either. Just pitch in some money for the check that your parents will be writing.

Whatever you do, DO NOT wear white. That color is reserved for the bride. Just wear something strappy and cute. A nice little sping dress will do, with spaghetti straps. Nice little heels, and do your hair so that it is up versus down. THat is the much more becoming style this season. As for gifts, get them something crystal. Everyone loves crystal barware, or dinner items for use in entertaining at their new home. Have a great time at the wedding!

You're only 16 - nobody's gonna notice you anyway. Buy a dress and wear it.
