I lived in Britain and Ireland for a good number of years, and can tell you the situation in Britain is, if anything, worse than here ... they're swamped with moslems and illegal immigrants from mainly the Eastern European countries, and can barely cope ... the Brits are getting more and more frustrated, and I reckon it won't be long before things will boil over ...
When Romania and Bulgaria join the EU in January 2007, things will get worse ... Britain is already the target of illegal immigration from Romania in particular, and after Jan 2007 these people can enter at will .. there are organized gangs of human smugglers in Romania who are also keeping their eyes on the illegal immigration and amnesty situation in the United States ... and after 2007, we can prepare for an exodous from Romania and Bulgaria into the United States as well ... so be prepared ....

I think we're dealing with the same thing. Different people but same issue. We have the "must speak Spanish" and they have language issues as well. They are dealing, at this moment, with Muslim issues that haven't blown up here, yet. It's the same issue of people refusing to assimilate. The same drain on the system and they are being pushed aside and loosing their identity as well. Certain countries are simply not doing anything to improve their nation and people are running to whatever is easier and just taking over.
I really wish I could see how this global world business is supposed to pan out. Coz so far all I see is a select few benefitting while the majority are loosing big time. I mean I know they have been bending over backwards and it's not helped their situation at all. It's not doing us any good either. I know I'm watching how they handle things as well. It's going on all over....we aren't alone.

I would say that there are more immigrants coming to America than to Europe, but broadly the position is similar. From my point of view, America is better because it is a more open society, people have more chance of being accepted and having an opportunity to become a part of society and make better lives for themselves.
Obviously, the composition of immigration varies from country to country, Europe gets a lot more migrants from Africa and the Middle East, and the US from Latin America, for obvious geographical reasons.

I've been following this issue really close and found no country's immigration situation is as bad as ours. Us being a nation of laws was only effective when we enforced those laws. However, since we longer enforce them, we have the worse situation.

Both suffer badly from immigration. European women are not having enough babies to maintain the European race. Its rather sad Europe is becoming a Muslim and African country.

Not sure about Europe, but if not for the US Constitution, the US would not be having such a difficult time dealing with illegal immigrations.

I think the whole thing's crazy...desperate and greedy people with no concern for the welfare of others, there's laws that govern immigration, in most countries...read about france...makes you want that border fence built...good fences DO make good neighbors...

definite because of the fact it brings the criminal element from worldwide extensive. case in point almost 80% of all toddler molestors come from mexico and the Viet Nnaminese are incredibly gang in touch as they have been of their own u . s . a . for various thousand Years. Bringing interior the criminal element continually hurts the host u . s . a . and the U.S. no exception
