No don't use your nail clippers. It puts too much pressure on the cats nail and it hurts. It does not cut properly. They are not that expensive just get some from a pet store. Get a pair like the one in the link. They are fine.

Yes, you *can*, but you shouldn't. Human nail clippes can split the nail and create problems. Buy a pet nail clipper. They aren't very expensive at all. And make sure you only take off the tips of the nail. You DO NOT cut down to the nail bed. Cut only the tips to just above where you can't see the 'quick' (the vein running through the nail).

I do it all the time! toe nail clippers are bigger and can more nail off then regular clippers. if you buy the nice grooming clippers you can cut them next to nothing, but ask your vet how to use them. I've tried using them and it felt uncomfortable, so I just stick with the nail clippers

No, you should not cut your cat's nails w/toe nail clippers. It would be best to make an appointment with the Vet.

Yes, absolutely. I have two cats and I cut their nails w/ regular nail clippers. How easy it is depends on the cat, one of mine just sits there and the other one has to be held by my husband while I do it. Just make sure you do cut too far, only the clearish/white part should be cut, don't cut past the part where it starts to turn pink inside or they may bleed.

yes, you can. you just have to be careful not to cut past the white part of their nail (it hurts them and in most cases causes them to bleed). it's a little more difficult to do it with clippers, but it can be done. we use them on our cats when we can't find our pair of claw clippers.

Yes, but you need to buy the special shaped clippers for cats, small animals. They cannot be very short, but enought to keep them from being too sharp. Please don't cut below the area were the vein is. If you research online you can find a diagram of the proper length to cut them.
