What you take your Christmas decorations down!?!? :-)
After Thanksgiving is traditional... The day after Thanksgiving is supposed to be the busiest shopping day of the year and the kick-off to the x-mas shopping season.

A lot of people start the day after Thanksgiving. To me, that's a little extreme. It's way too long for me to be staring at red and green and listening to Christmas songs. Especially when most of the time, those same people don't take them down til a few days into January.
For me, I put up decorations probably three Fridays before Christmas. I tend to take them down soon after because I dont want them up when celebrating New Years.
To each his own, I guess.

The earliest would be the day after Thanksgiving. It's a nice family holiday for everyone to get together and decorate the house.
On the other hand, you shouldn't get a tree that early, or it will be a fire hazard before Thanksgiving. Two weeks before Christmas is probably best for that.

Whenever the mood strikes you!
I usually try to wait for the day after Thanksgiving, but some years I just get itching to decorate earlier. It also depends on the weather where you are (if you're hanging outdoor decorations) If it's going to be cold and snowy in December, then go ahead and decorate early if you want.
The only thing you should wait on is a live tree, if you're having one indoors.
Have fun decorating!

Dec first!
If you do it before thanksgiving it shows everyone that you have no thanks for giving! and you just want want want!
It really disturbs me that people don't wait untill after 1 holiday is done before they start to decorate for the next!
but hey at least at that right i can get my easter eggs in a basket by new year!
lol
but most normal peeps wait till the start of the month or 4 weeks till the holiday!
it's all an average!
Mad luv

I'll probably start next week, but I'll call them "Holiday decorations", which will include Thanksgiving and New Year's. I'm not doing red and green; my tree will be silver with lime green, orange, and magenta ornaments, and I'm hanging snowflakes everywhere.
