Probably Stephen Hawkin. It really depends on how you define smart doesn't it? I know someone who has an IQ of 145 and he's a complete **** so it sort of makes his intelligence almost irrelevant doesn't it? There are many human qualities at least as important as intelligence aren't there?

What is your definition of "smartest" ? If it is IQ, someone like Einstein or Newton would qualify. If it is smart in making money, Bill Gates might the one. Etc.

The smartest person is within us. Its just a matter of discovery by others.
All smart people are not wise. All wise people are not smart.

I think it would be Oprah - she is not "brain smart" but worldly smart.
