Cute jewelry or make-it-yourself jewelry (made by you, or a kit that she can make jewelry for herself.)

The best way to really know what to get her is to take her with while your supposedly shopping for someone else around the same age (use an excuse like it's for a friend's sister or a gift exchange program, etc). As you shop ask her what she thinks of certain things like bratz dolls, boardgames etc. Kids at that age aren't shy when it comes to toys. Furthermore, pay attention to the items she picks up and shows interest in. Or if your thinking of more practical things, perhaps a new bike helmet, she'll think of you everytime she puts it on. Good Luck!

Hello, goldfish are cute but very dirty and require more maintenance, surprisingly. Tetras, if your tank is heated (or maintains a temperature of 78 degrees minimum) are fun, hardy and cute, and come in larger sizes than your typical neons. Plus when you get about 8 of them together they "school" up very nicely, which makes your tank interesting and fun - watch them at feeding time!! Male guppies are pretty, but have a short life span. Throw a plecostumas (my niece calls these "sucker fishes") and you've got some interest. If the tank isn't heated, good old fashioned gold fish are about your best choice. Any heated tank creates more action, and of course that means more fun.

well if your on a tight budget you should go price checking looking around different stores and see what all you think she might like and than make a smart choice.

Have you asked her what she wants for christmas? Or just pay attention to what she does and what toys she plays with.
