It concerns me that there is a belief system that I you don't abide for its magical tomes or mythical characters whom you never met, you are damned.

Just because you don't have the same beliefs doesn't mean you need to go to "hell". I say "hell" because my religion, paganism, there is no hell. It's a creation of many religions to create fear, so they do not lose their believers. If you're happy believing whatever you believe, then that's fine and dandy because you're happy with your life and what you attained.

Not a believer in Religion for Salvation. Salvation can only come from accepting that God is your creator and all that he has done, is doing and will yet do is ultimate truth beyond mans wisdom and knowledge.

Read your bible, obey its word and authority over your own self will and selfish desires.

Jesus Christ started the church, not religions.

The only thing that matters is being a good person, it doesnt matter what you believe in as long as it puts you on the right path.

I am Jewish, and according to my religion, all moral people go to heaven, regardless of what religion or belief system they choose to follow.

No, in Buddhism hell(naraka) is a state of mind involving hatred and anger. No god sends us there, we put ourselves into it when we refuse to love our fellow man...
