I was bite by a pitviper and almost died... I had what I can only explain as a vision of some sort since the woman was in dark like a shadow.. but she was there talking to me about the fact that I might die and praying.. has anyone else had an experience with visions after being bite by a snake?

No but there are many persons that have had visions when intoxicated by some substance. In your case it was snake venom, for some others it was hallucinogen mushurooms, scorpion sting, blood poisening by renal failure, etc... Nothing religious in that.

It depends on the snake. If it's somebody's pet, it's probably non-venomous. Treat it as you would any similar injury from a non-snake source--clean it if it broke the skin, ice it if it's hurting. If it is, or might be, a poisonous snake, take the person to a doctor as soon as possible. Until you can do so, keep the bit area below the heart, and keep the victim as calm as possible. If you can do so without further risk, capture the snake, or at least take a picture of it, so the doctor can administer the correct treatment if an antivenom is necessary. Do not tourniquet the area unless 1. you really know what you're doing, and/or 2. you'll be able to get the person to a doctor within 20 or so minutes. Don't do the suck-and-spit thing you may have seen on movies, it mostly just aggravates the wound without really doing anything useful.

Sweetheart! It had nothing to do with the snake bite. You had what is called a "near death vision" - you were almost in Heaven - but for some reason it wasn't your time. There are organizations that record your event, it is not uncommon, and is now recognized by the medical profession. See if one of those organization exists in your community and go get registered. WOW you must be thankful you didn't die. Welcome back and have a Great Life.
