Ruffino Risevra Ducale Chianti Classico 2002 Both the tan and the gold label don't appeal to me as much as previous vintages.

I had good luck with this wine:
2001 Rocca di Montegrossi Chianti Classico Riserva

It does need to aerate some, or eat it with a nice cheese (Brie) or pasta to calm the tannins.

For me, any '97. It is my belief that even dirty tuscan dishwater from the '97 vintage will probably be delicious. As to my personal favourites, Castello di Brolio is a great choice for a mid-range, but Antinori, with both their super-tuscans and the more traditional classico, set the bar for the best chianti vintage in decades.

unfortunately, Ruffino has let me down more than a few times compaired with what they're asking for a bottle of gold.
