every pharmacy i've ever been to has orange bottles. why cant they be blue or something else?

the color is designed to filter out UV light (especially UV), while at the same time being able to see what's inside.

I guess it depends on the pharmacy. Most do have the amber/orange colors, but I have seen blue and dark green ones. I guess the peoples are suppose to be amber and vets use green for certain drugs and blue for certain drugs I guess it is an easy way to say amber/human blue/green/animal. I hope I helped a little.

The color them so that it helps keep light out that can cause some medications to break down and become ineffective. My local pharmacy uses blue and Target pharmacy uses red.

The orange color protects the pill's from sunlight and I believe room lighting.

Protect the tablets from the light. Some medicines degrade under direct light.

Not every bottle is orange colour. However it is protect from sunlight

Because they are light sensitive. The color blocks out direct light and heat which can diminish the effectiveness of the medication.
