CoolEditPro, Music Question?

Does anybody here use CoolEdit?

When I attempt to voice record on a separate track, the wav tracks record on the same track, over my voice.

I was able to record once before without this problem. What am I doing wrong?

I have my recording properties set for microphone. Line in mute. All other settings, open.

I do have CD input mute.
I can record on a blank track without wavs.

Hey, thanks, but I need to record vocal with the music. This is my own composition, inserted into CoolEdit.

Are you recording directly into the multi-track view? Why not record everything you want to use and build it all in the multi-track?
