Because it will become big business and the poor and less fortunate will believe that selling a kidneyis their way out of poverty. It will lead the rich to "buy" the poor.

Well, I can think of one reason.
If we allow the sale of organs in this country, as they do in other countries. They poor sell themselves to the rich. The rich already have enough control over the poor, imagine if they could buy their lives too? In some countries farmers with female children are practically expected to sell their kidneys for money for a dowry.

What you do with your kidney is up to you. If you want to sell it, there is nothing wrong with that. You'll be making some money and also be helping somebody.

Where can you sell kidneys at and are you sure you would want to. You never know when you will need it. Good luck

If you can sell your kidney what stops another person from forcing somone to sell theirs? What kind of sick freeks would it spawn who collect kidneys off E-bay? Why would you want to sell your body?

What happens if you are shot in the other kidney? You assume a big risk for cash, and if anything goes wrong, society pays for your greed.

The poor are overly exploited already. Why reduce them to spare parts?
