I totally accept that premises - you are in search of the truth. I am never offended by one who is seeking. I get a little down though when people are rude and mean and call each other names (both sides of the issue!) It's just childish. Adults can have conversations that are opposite points of view without getting upset. Debate is a good thing. Being mean is not.

If that were true it should be delivered in a respectable manner. Like in a court of law, the witnesses should attest to what they know and present the evidence. They don't need to attack the judge, the jury, the defense or the prosecution or rage about it.
Now to define truth....

Religion is at the core of many peoples identity. For some people religion is an important part of how they define themselves.
When someone like myself says, "I disagree with your religion" is sometimes taken as, "I disagree with who you are".
You may think you are trying to show them the "truth" what ever that means anyway, but it can be taken as condescending, and a personal attack.

There is a vast difference between educating and throat-shoving.
Far too many of us, myself included, should realize we too are guiltly of the later a little more often than we should be. We, after all, are the first ones to gripe when Christians shove their ideology down our throats. They should have either the same respect or the same right.
Of course, this reduces to eye-for-an-eye, which ultimately leaves everyone blind, and then you have a bunch of blind men groping all over an elephant trying to figure out which one is feeling it right...
I ramble too much at times.

And can't the non-religious see that we, Christians, do know Him Who is the "Truth"; Him Who said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life"?

Religion is a really bad topic for me to discuss but as far as the truth goes just because someone wrote and said that they were the truth, what makes you believe that they are.
I am the truth! Do you believe me?? Of course you don't, because I am a real live person that you can see so of course I'm wrong. wtf.

They think that they know the Truth....what's wrong with their truth? Nobody really knows THE TRUTH....everyone believes something, and that will never change.

Truth is provable.
Prove your statements.
Give proofs, reasonings, quotes.
Give something because I ain't becoming a follower of you.

I don't even look at it that way; I have no desire to pull anyone away from their religion. I just like it when people think about their religion and why they follow it rather than following blindly. If anything, it should deepen one's faith.
