Alright, last night my girlfriend and I got into a fight over some stuff (what it is dont matter) but i felt really bad when i dropped her off at practice, especially considering she didnt give me a kiss or say " I love you" like she usually does when i drop her off. So after i went to my meeting I went back to surprise her with a ring and spend the rest of the night together. She was really happy with it all and I was happy to see that, but was it the perfect idea??

I didn't propose, I simply gave her a ring that she can wear from me. Just something I wanted to do for her, not an engagement ring.

Only if you really meant it.

A ring? Only if it was a special ocassion to begin with, otherwise you just set the bar very high. Next time you get in a fight, she's going to expect you so bend over (so to speak) and do something extra nice again.

Does she ever do the same thing after an argument? If so, then you have your own little system that might work.

did you purpose? Ummmm.... not the smartest idea wise guy! Now she may think that when ever you two get in a fight, you have to buy her something to make up for it. Since you asked her to marry you, your stuck, you cant break off and engagement with out breaking the relationship. Good luck with that!

if you truily love her then yes but if you dont know then you need to sit back and evaluate your relationship and weather she is the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with
