I almost seem to wake up tired. I sleep great, getting 8 hours and I still seem to feel tired. My eyes just want to shut on me. So my question is, how does one go about having mroe energy during the day? Caffeine seems to have a negative effect on me, so I'm quitting it altogether. I drink pleanty of water and still I feel so tired. Thanks in advance.

You could try a multi vitamin, and try to eat food that gives you energy. Caffeine is only power surges of energy that will just make you feel like crap and go down even lower, and make you think you need more. Also, if you're waking up a lot, and not really getting good rest, you still will feel tired. There are things you can do to get turned around, but they all take a little time. Good luck!

aawww look, it's Spyro! Anyway, maybe you're ill or something. I have the same problem though, only difference is, I can't sleep. ooo, you know what, if your life permits this, maybe you should try something...try going to bed at sunrise instead of at night. I used to do that before I had my son and I never felt better. I would sleep from about 4 or 5 in the morning to about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. It was like a miracle. I would fall asleep fast and stay asleep longer and wake up feeling rested. But now I have a son and he lives on a regular daytime schedule so, so do I

well personally i dont drink coffee much and i dont drink any kind of pop or anything so when i DO drink caffinated drinks they hit hard. however i usually go through the day groggy as i cant get more energy, i fall asleep when i feel tired and usually wake up refreshed next morning. (you can have too much sleep and it affects are similiar to not enough)

best thing i can tell you is eat, eating will give you some energy, and maybe some desert for sugar.

Quitting the caffiene will help immensely. It disrupts your natural schedule and can make your sleep *less* restful. Also, perhaps eight hours is too much sleep for you...some people naturally sleep less, and I know if I sleep much more than eight hours I'm worse off than I was before.
