My mother-in-law is patient and kind. She is non-judgemental and proud. She has 7 kids, and tons of grandkids, and puts herself last, her family coming first. She accepted me with open arms and has never used a harsh word against me. My sister-in-law and her husband passed away tragically and left behind a 5 year old boy, her grandson, whom she takes care of without question or complaint. All at the age of 67 when she should be relaxing and enjoying her golden years. She works almost everyday, weaving beautiful tapestry and doing embroideries like you have never seen. I consider myself very fortunate. I hope to travel to Central America one day to see her.

She minds her own business with me cos i wont let her interfere with my life. On the other hand she treats my 37 year old sister like a 7 year old and is always interfering.

She put me in care when I was 13 cos she's a weak pathetic old woman-I've struggled my whole life cos of her-
I objected to being pulled up the stairs by my hair by her boyfriend-While she ate her dinner. She put me in care the next day cos I had a split lip as evidence-
She's now got 3 grandkids 1 of which she don't know about-
I ended up with 2 violent husbands cos I thought it was normal to hurt someone.

How appropriate..I am flying home to visit the family tomorrow morning and dreading it. My mom thinks she knows everything. She has a big mouth and will spread something around my entire family within 30 minutes. She tries to control you via guilt. She can tell someone else she loves me, but I have yet to hear her say it without me prodding. I feel sad for her, yet she drives me insane!!
Welcome home, Trish...

My mom opens her mouth is it is nessecary to say something, if it is a situation my mom is worried about she will say something....but I have a WONDERFUL mother and I love her because she has great advise, she is my guardian angel and I don't mind when my mom says anything cause I know I need to hear it and know it.

neither - doesn't keep her mouth shut or mind her own business. I'll be the exact same when my kids grow up.

My mum is stoic, diplomatic (to everyone else but me) very sweet and kind but a bit of a snob and she gets called Hyacinth Bouquet. She would interfere more... if I let her. What a combo!
