I Installed windows xp on my new laptop and it says it's not activated. I just found out now that you can only install it on one computer. I need a valid windows xp key in order to activate it. Does anyone know where I can purchuse a cheap key because I don't want to have to pay another 100 dollars for something I already paid for. Thanks

you need to call up microsoft to activate it.. or if you got internet do it from there.. if this isn't someone elses copy you can have it activated No questions asked No fees.... This is one reason I don't use windows XP home edition.... Or just find someone with an windows XP pro disk.. and use that and you will never have to activate it ever again...

Call Microsoft, but either way your gonna have to buy a key.

Quoted from below "Or just find someone with an windows XP pro disk.. and use that and you will never have to activate it ever again... "
This is not a fix, you still have to have a valid key regardless.
