ok i heared there are special birth control pills who prevents breakouts? is that true? i really tried everything it just doesnt help and my breakouts are always worse the week before and the fist days i get my period. so can anybody help me! it would be nice when you can give me more information about it and if you would recomend it. thanks

Sometimes doctors prescribe birth control pills to women that suffer from acne. It has to do with the hormone levels in the birth control pills. I would recommend it only if you are of a certain age: these hormones will not only affect your skin but possibly other parts of your body too.

There are prescriptions, such as Accutane, especially created to treat acne. The downside is more harmful long term side effects are found as their use becomes more common. See a dermatologist, or log onto a dermatology website, as I am sure there are other effective & safer remedies for your particulat situation.
What you have is probably caused by hormonal imbalance, given the timing of the attacks. I would think there would be a cleansing agent that can alleviate the problem to some degree. I wish you luck as acne can leave scars for life.One of my identical twin sons have them & the other doesn't, strongly suggesting this problem does not have to be only genetic.

Birth control works for women whose acne is hormone related. If you break out a certain time of the month every month, yours could be hormonal. I've been on Yasmin for 6 months now and it has really helped me. You could ask your doctor to put you on it and see if she/he will. I had to go to my dermatoligist.

i heard ACCUTANE is really good for facial and acne on other parts of your body .
