So when I tell everyone at work "Good Morning", I should also make an effort throughout the day to keep talking to them. Hello, you are at work! Get to work. If you like the guy, next time he says "Hi", say I was wondering if you would be interested in grabbing a bite of lunch today, or going out for dinner after work.

Without more information, it is hard to say.

He is possibly just being cordial. He might be shy with girls, in which case, if you like him, take the initiative and talk about anything with him. Even a simple, "Hi, where are you going?, Off to a meeting?" type of question is a safe but practical response. Trust me, if he is interested in you, he will respond and you will totally make his day. Don't be afraid. It is tough for two shy people to get together, but when they do, their relationship is among the best.

A word of caution: workplace romances can be very tough. Number one, you two will be around each other an awful lot. Number two, if things don't work out, the workplace can be very uncomfortable, if not unbearable.

I say hi to everyone I work with but only talk to a few. I think that is normal behavior. Just because someone says hi to you does not mean they want to be friends or date you.

it's hard to date co workers- he doesn';t want anyone else to notice that he might like you. He's probably trying to find the right place and time to tell you he likes you and wants to go out without anyone at work findint out; Having a relationshio with someone you work with is a bit complicated. I wouldn't do it if i were you no matter how good looking the guy is

Do you have a lunch room or break room? Talk to him for heaven's sake. He's probably wondering why you don't talk to him.

He's probably just shy. Try going up and talking to him.

Perhaps he's just being polite when he says 'hi'...not being a mind reader, I cannot know (nor can anyone here).

sounds like he's being friendly...why wait for him to come to you? Make the first move and go chat when he's not with his friends.
