Does anybody know a good/nice receipe for cooking Red Cabbage?

Slice the cabbage , an onion and a cooking apple. layer in an oven dish sprinkle with brown sugar, dot with butter add a tablespoon or two of wine vinegar. Braise in a low oven for an hour.

i usually take a onion and slice it the same as the cabbage and i saute it in butter until golden brown then i add 2 cups of wine to a medium size head of cabbage and chop 2 sour apples and then i add 1 cup of sugar.....and simmer til cabbage is tender ....do not cover while cooking as you want the liquid to reduce and then i add 1/2 stick of butter salt and pepper to taste...serve with shredded apple for garnish...love it with German potato salad (hot and some kind of pork......schnitzel.......

Slice cabbage ,saute in butter,season. Add chopped apple & juniper berries.Cook gently until apple is cooked,
Nice with pork & mashed potato,pheasant
