It really bares thinking about, possibly. Cause' the civil liberties claim they could help, I think.

But maybe if no one had faith and believed in a Supreme being, maybe not many would help for humanitarian reason's alone? What do you think?

Anything's possible, but I know of several secular groups here, including the man who runs our food bank, who have devoted their lives to helping others.

It is a shame that they would be in serious trouble with out the churches it seems that the rich and movie stars only help ppl out side of this country. That should not be Better fix their own country first. And it should not be only the churches that aid the homeless because in AZ some of the org. want you to go to their church services before they will help you the on in Nogales, Az I know. It is good that they offer their help but do not force your religion on the homeless. Even God gave us the freedom of making choices.

I don't think belief in a supreme being is necessary for compassion and ethical treatment.

I do agree that the churches do a great deal to help the homeless, since our local, state and federal governments aren't.

CHURCH is a community of people... that is why you see them doing so much good for the community. There would be other labels put on it but yes... there would be just as much help.

Down in Orlando, FL it is ILLEGAL to feed the homeless. No joke.
