60-80 ft/lbs.

1st step 22 ft/lb
2nd step 51-55 ft/lb
3rd step pause for 5 min
4th step turn and additional 90 degrees

Torque Pattern looks like this

5 1 3 7

6 4 2 8

with out a year I am just guessing but for a 1984 2.8 it is done in three steps 1st step 29-40 ft.lbs 2nd step40-51 ft lbs., 3rd 70-85ft.lbs . that was the only year that i found a listing for the 2.8
