I don't get through a conversation without the ever formal "LOL" which I fined ridiculous.


This is such a petpeeve of mine, does anyone else notived that popular chatspeak abrevitations[sp] are taking over the world?

I agree. I find it so difficult to understand what someone is trying to say and almost involuntarily want to deduct 100 IQ points for not being able to spell correctly. I know this sounds harsh and like a sweeping generalization, but how hard is to type something grammatically correct!?!

Of course they are. Because people are lazy and it's easier for them to abbreviate than having to spell out an entire word. It's all about convenience and quicker ways to do things these days. That's what it's all about.

i agree, and it is messing kids mind up with spelling, a little 2nd grade girl failed her spelling test due to that crap,that's really bad.
